Sharepoint linking to wrong account name after changing user name

Hello in the 365 admin panel I changed a users name from @company1.com to @company2.com. Now when that user goes into his office portal and clicks OneDrive to see his files he gets a “404 FILE NOT FOUND” error. I noticed that link is sending him to https://.sharepoint.com/personal/user_company1_com which no longer exists since his UN was changed. If he manually goes to https://******.sharepoint.com/personal/user_company2_com it works. When click some of the documents they go into an infinite loops trying to load and if you close them and open them again sometimes they will open properly.

Is there somewhere I can change where his “OneDrive” link sends him to?

    Based on your post, I understand that user who recently updated UPN is unable to access their OneDrive from Office.com.

    This issue is caused by a backend update delay, and you need to wait for a while.
