    Hi,

    1. Does it happen with all the applications?

    2. What is the type of mouse you are using? Is it wired or wireless?

    3. Is it a laptop or desktop computer?

    1. What is the make and model number of the mouse?

    Method 1:

I would suggest that you check if the mouse settings are correct.

    1. OpenMouse by clicking theStart button, clickingControl Panel, clickingHardware, and then clickingMouse .
    2. Click the Pointer Options tab, and then do any of the following:

    Change mouse settings:

    Method 2:

If this doesn’t help, then try booting the computer in safe mode and check if the same issue occurs, here is the link:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Method 3:

If it works fine in safe mode, then try performing clean boot and check if it helps, here is the link:

You can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. This article describes how to troubleshoot problems in Windows 7 by performing a clean boot.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Make sure that you put back the computer to normal startup mode once it is done.

    Method 4:

If you are using touchpad, try reducing the Touch Pad sensitivity and check if it helps.

no it doesnt do it in safe mode, what i need is a list of the services that load beyond safe mode and then your best guess as to which one of the sevices you think might be conflicting with the driver.. you know the one win7 loads when there is no other driver,One of win7's services at least one is conflicting with its own intstalled drivers how about that?I've already tried to shut off service and damn near crashed my computer, but i'm getting desperate to solve this! And if we can I think it might help alot of people I see posting with win764bit mouse problems.Oh yes i did a clean boot and it still did it its not the apps!

Go into mouse settings then see if there is an Advanced tab on the right of mouse properties. This is a custom tab which varies according to the driver you have installed, but it usually has a Touchpad or Trackpad button that lets you see touchpad settings. The option you are looking for is Enable tapping which is checked by default. Uncheck this. It is not enough to disable tapping while typing, which is another option.

Here are the details on my Toshiba:

    http://www.itwriting.com/blog/2279-windows-trackpad-annoyances-disappearing-pointer-auto-clicking.html

The theory here is that when you type you slightly vibrate the laptop and this can trigger a "tap" on the trackpad, which if enabled behaves like a "click" elsewhere on the page, so moving the input cursor.

The tapping feature is vile and should not be enabled by default but it always is. I should think this one feature has sold many Macs.

I found a simpler way to stop the jumping cursor issue on win7 64bit, open the mouse properties dialog box, then go to device configuration, then click on values button, then go to pointer, after that go to sensibility and open the touch sensibility dialog, in there try to adjust to a harder touch and must likely the jumping issue will disappear. Cheers.
