How to locate my App Service Plan quota in Usage + quotas

I am getting an error while deploying an App Service Plan:

  • Region: Central India
  • SKU: F1
  • Subscription: Free Trial
  • Error: "details":[{"code":"SubscriptionIsOverQuotaForSku","message":"This region has a quota of 0 instances for your subscription. Try selecting a different region or SKU."}]}]}}

I understand that I do not have quota in this specific region. I tried other regions, such as East US and Central US, but still had no success.

I searched through the documentation to find a list of available App Service Plans for the Free Trial, but had no luck. Azure documentation feels like navigating a maze.

Next, I went to Azure Portal -> Subscriptions -> Usage + quotas, and filtered the results by Provider: compute, but the results were not helpful at all.

My question: Is there a way (via Azure Portal, Azure CLI, or PowerShell) to check my quotas? This would save me time and effort, rather than using a trial-and-error approach to figure out where I can create my App Service Plan.

    I have checked with internal team on this and sharing the below.

    Unfortunately, at this moment we don't have any method/mechanism to check the quota for app service & App service engineering team has confirmed that they are working on this feature to check the quota which will be available in 2025 (Note this not exact ETA and it might change based on different factors).

    Only workaround to go with trial & error method or suggested in error message try creating the support case.

    This is most likely as a result of your free trial subscription. Free Trial subscriptions aren't eligible for limit or quota increases. If you have a Free Trial subscription, you can upgrade to a Pay-As-You-Go subscription.

    Your main option is to try to change to change region for the quota or SKU.
