How can I c9nnect ro dataverse in visual studios

Hello I'm trying to learn X++ and the course I'm taking needs the finance and operations template. I have done everything I can I have visual studios professional. I created a business account email. But when I try to download the dynamics365 assest I click log in with office it gives me an error every time. I just want the template for finance and operations. I am just trying to learn so I don't have a server to connect to. I need help if someone could help me out with this I would.be extremely grateful
