Error provisioning Microsoft.Azure.SynapseAnalytics workspace

Hi - I am getting the following error when trying to create a Synapse Analytics WS:

{"code":"ValidationFailed","message":"Workspace request validation failed, check error details for more information","details":[{"code":"SqlServerRegionDoesNotAllowProvisioning","message":"Location 'eastus' is not accepting creation of new Windows Azure SQL Database servers for the subscription '189bbb31-a7d7-4cbb-bad4-b44eec088f3f' at this time."}]}

I've registered Windows.SQL and verified there is no restriction on the region, but keep getting the above error.

Any suggestions?

There may be a temporary restriction or issue:

Verify that you haven't reached any subscription limits for SQL resources in that region.
Ensure that the Microsoft.Synapse resource provider is registered for your subscription.
Look for any active advisories or issues related to Azure Synapse Analytics or SQL services in your region.
Sometimes these issues are temporary. Wait for a few hours or up to a day and try provisioning again.

I think I am going to try this under a new subscription.
