We are moving the our internet site to SharePoint. we would like to use a friendly URL for end users, so we created a CName entry in our DNS configuration tool. After we set up the target we are getting this error.

What's the latest status of your issue? If you are working on a SharePoint migration, we recommend that you use SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT). This is Microsoft's officially recommended tool specifically for SharePoint migration. This avoids a lot of migration mistakes.
