Hi I'm testing WSUS export from one network to another offline network. So i got a online WSUS and a offline WSUS. All the products and classification are the same on both servers.
On online WSUS server i have about 30gb size on WSUSContent folder, same on the offline. When i import the name.xml.gz and name.log file i get the correct metadata and updates to approve(Express installation files is not selected). Still i have some mystery 200gb to download(It cannot and dosent download it) ?
On the online server run a wsusutil reset

Then re-export and re-import the metadata and WsusContent folders onto the offline system.
Does the issue go away?
I did wsusutil reset and i used powershell script to delete declined updates from metadata.(name.xml.gz went from 200mb to 2mb)
That did the trick.
Before some how offline WSUS tryed to download bogus updates and it clogged BITS service(default 10 downloads at the same time).
