I have recently installed MS Defender on new MacBooks in the environment, however, MS Defender shows an error "Microsoft Defender needs attention -fix" on MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and Beta 15.1. It is only running on lower versions, like Ventura 13.6.9 and 14.3.
