Clarification on AVD Connection via Remote Desktop Client and Transition to Windows App

I understand that the Windows App will soon be generally available (GA) for connecting to Azure Virtual Desktops, and we have the Intune deployment staged to push the Windows App when it's ready.

My question pertains to the timing of the transition. I assume that the current Remote Desktop client will still be able to connect to AVD after the Windows App goes GA, but I haven't been able to find official documentation from Microsoft confirming this.

Ideally, our plan is to have users continue using the Remote Desktop client until we can smoothly transition them to the Windows App after Microsoft releases the GA build. Could you confirm if this approach will be supported, or if there's any additional guidance regarding the transition?

Thank you,

Adam
