how do i include windows preferences (like background image) with Enterprise State Roaming?

I would like Enterprise State Roaming to sync visual settings like light/dark mode, screen background, font size, etc. how can this be done? I have enabled Enterprise State Roaming for all users, but users see the default windows background and other settings when logging into a new Windows device.

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks for your post. Please understand that the preferences only include accessibility passwords, language, and other Windows settings. If you turn on Other Windows settings, Windows also syncs some device settings (for things like printers and mouse options), File Explorer settings, and notification preferences.

    Assuming the Enterprise State Roaming behaves similarly to Remember Windows Settings (I have not found any documentation to confirm this), then I have not successfully gotten any of it to work using AAD and Intune. Onedrive works fine, but no windows settings sync.

    I have found several repeating errors using event viewer. Searching the net I find that these have to do with AAD VMs and/or hybrid AD/AAD environments. I have neither. Here is a log excerpt:
