Can't sign in to my work account due to authenticator app

I am trying to sign in to apps through my Microsoft work account, all the apps keep asking me to approve the account by asking me to type the code shown on the authenticator app, but there is no such notification showing the code on the authenticator app. There are no notifications in general for my work account. I have tried everything like updating the app, restarting the phone, etc.

Are you admin or end user?

For end user contact your Office 365 admin. (i.e. you may contact the person who gave you your Microsoft 365 user account and password for further assistance).
