Hi,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
==>After doing this, will clients have issues with co-management or communicating with the CMG on the new site? I have not yet enabled tenant attach, co-management, or a CMG on the new site, so I am unable to test.
Are there any "gotchas" that I should be aware of?
Assume you have published old and new SCCM information into the same Active Directory system folder when implemented in the same domain, for your scenario, changing the site code on the clients will be a suitable way. The clients will be aware of the new CMG site and communicate to it.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!
