Search Folders & Quick Steps don't have the same actionable items to select from!

Having tried the new Outlook Version 1.2024.916.200 it isn't very reassuring that certain key features didn't automatically carry over. Search folders for one, whilst the search folders still exist the options appear far less robust. The inability to search from the subject or portion thereof is lacking.

Similarly, Quick Steps also didn't carry across & when creating them again some of the shortcuts weren't available. IE ctrl+Shift+1 through 4?

You encourage people to transition but then disappoint with changes that, on the face of it, seem nonsensical.

    Hi @Steve-8596

    Welcome to our forum!

Search folders for one, whilst the search folders still exist the options appear far less robust. The inability to search from the subject or portion thereof is lacking.

Yes, it appears that the options are indeed less robust compared to previous versions. This is a known issue that has been reported, and the team is working on improving the search functionality to make it more comprehensive and user-friendly.

Similarly, Quick Steps also didn't carry across & when creating them again some of the shortcuts weren't available. IE ctrl+Shift+1 through 4?

As for Quick Steps, it is unfortunate that they didn't carry over and that some shortcuts like Ctrl+Shift+1 through 4 are not available. I am afraid that you need to switch back to the legacy Outlook to continue to use this feature.

Please kindly understand that many functions are not designed at present. To get this feature more quickly, I have found a post in feedback collection website, and you could vote for it. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. You can also make suggestions on that website and hope Microsoft will notice this in the future.
