Can UWP package updates be restricted by HSA?

I have distributed UWP App version 1.0.7 via HSA without using the 'uap5' as described in Microsoft's documentation (uap5) through WHQL certification. Now, I’ve updated the UWP App to version 1.0.12 with new features, but I don’t want the old SKUs, which already have version 1.0.7 installed, to automatically update to 1.0.12. How should we handle this situation?
