In Azure OPenAI, how can I view the Assistants, threads, and files that my app has created?

We just moved from using the OpenAI directly to using it via Azure OpenAI. At the OpenAI Dashboard I could see the items my app had created via the API. I could see the Assistants, Files, Vector Stores and Threads. This was VERY useful when debugging my app, especially to verify that after my app was closed all those items were deleted. How can I do this with Azure OpenAI? At Azure OpenAIStudio I think I see the Assistants and Files created by my app, but I don't find the threads. Is there a way I am missing?

Thanks for reaching out to us, I think you are looking for ways in Azure OpenAI Studio to easy check your Assistants and thread information. In the old Azure OpenAI Studio, it is available on the top right side as dropdown panels -

2024-10-10T02:50:29.7966667+00:00 - When I go to "the old version" I am boldly told that "Assistants is only available in the following regions: australiaeast, eastus, eastus2, francecentral, norwayeast, swedencentral, uksouth" and "Please use a resource in the above regions to use Assistants.". But I think this is no longer true. Correct? (I think am am using Assistants in WESTUS).
- If I choose "Deployments" and choose one of my deployment's from the list, I am taken back to that opening ""Assistants is only available in the following regions ..." statement.
- I don't know what next to do. I don't see "Assistants Setup".
- And KEEP IN MIND, I am NOT talking about an Assistant created in the Azure OpenAI Studio. My Assistant, and related threads, files, and vector stores, are created by my application programming (in Python).

Thanks for your response, so you are mentioning you want to see the threads, files( created by Assistant API in Python) in Azure OpenAI Studio UI. This feature is currently not available.

For your question 1 -
The Assistant availability is as below screenshot, Assistants' availability is different according to different models.
For your question 2, if above information does not solve your question, please share which region you are in and which model you are using that result in this issue.
For your question 3, at this moment, the feature displaying Assistants, threads, and files created by Assistant REST API in Studio UI is not available. I can understand that a dashboard shows everything will be very useful, however, this feature is still in preview stage, more features will come to make it better.

To create Assistant in Azure OpenAI Studio, you just need go Assistant in Project Playground directly as below screenshot -

We have done a lot of development using the OpenAI API directly (versus now starting to use Azure OpenAI), and found the dashboard at https://platform.openai.com/ to be very useful. What is does is a MISSING ITEM from the Azure AI Studio. What is does is let you see what you own code, code that is calling the API, is doing ... or not doing .... in regards to the AI resources it creates, and later deletes. I hope the Microsoft can offer such to the many developers using the Azure OpenAI API. If one can't see what their code has done, or not done, I don't see how the code can be fully tested.

I see most of the dash board has been covered by Azure OpenAI Studio as well, includes the Assistant list, Assistant setting, please let me know so that we can bring this feature request to product team.
I think we can unblock your access to Azure OpenAI Assistant playground first then you can have a try, please let us know.

- My assistants/threads/vector stores/file are created by my python code calling the Azur OpenAI API.
- During the testing of my code I need to see:
- What resources, e.g., threads, my code has created.
- That all these resources are deleted when my application ends.
- A way to delete any resources my app left behind.
- BUT I am not able to see do the above in Azure AI Studio, as I was able to do most of on the http://platform.OpenAI.com dashboard.

Other that, just want to make sure you are able to use Azure OpenAI as your mentioned you had some "Assistants is only available in the following regions ..." errors.

2024-10-15T16:06:59.77+00:00 A screenshot of what? What I need is a place to see what my python app has created, and then that those assistants/threads/files/vector stores, have later been deleted. To that end I see no value to create additional assistants, or to sue them, in Azure OpenAI Studio. Am I missing some idea here?

Thanks for your response, I think there is some misunderstanding, I was thinking you have the access issue, and you are also looking for the roadmap of Azure OpenAI Studio Dashboard.
For Azure OpenAI Studio Dashboard feature, we have forwarded this feedback to product team as a feature request. We hope to see this feature in the near future. Wil let you know if there is any confirmation for this feature on roadmap.
If you have no access issue, then no screenshot is needed. I hope this is clear ^^
