What is an $OF file in my external hard drive and can I delete it to save space?
I have a Seagate external hard drive connected by USB to my Windows 10 Laptop. In the external HDD's path 'E:\FileHistory\myname\MY-PC\Data' there are three files: C, D, and $OF. The C and D files correspond to my C and D drive. But the $OF file has over a thousand files with names as numbers ranging from ~4500 to ~11500 (In the posted picture.) Inside the folders are many files. Some are .dvcc files (Davinci Resolve which is a video editing software I use), .dll files (I don't know what it is) and potentially other file types. This $OF file is taking up an entire 830 GB of my 1.8TB HDD!
My question is, can I delete this $OF file safely without any repercussions in order to free up almost half of my two terrabyte HDD?
