Hi,

I'm trying to capture a VM with Windows 24H2 on Hyper-V.

However, after sysprepping the machine with the image and PXE booting into the capture wizard I have found that the Volumes to Capture drop down is empty.

What's strange is that if I use and capture a Windows 11 23H2 ISO, everything works fine, and I can see the disk.

Any ideas?

    Hello,

Here are some things you can check and steps you can take to try to check the issue:

Verify Sysprep Status: Make sure the sysprep process completed successfully without errors. An incomplete sysprep could cause issues with the capture process. Check the sysprep logs located at C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Panther for any error messages.

Check VM Generation: If you’re using a Generation 2 VM, ensure that the boot settings are correct and that secure boot is not interfering with the PXE boot process. You may need to disable secure boot temporarily for the capture process.

Storage Controller Drivers: Verify that the Windows PE (WinPE) environment used for capturing has the necessary storage controller drivers to see the VM’s disk. If the drivers are missing, WinPE might not recognize the disk.
