Hello, my account belongs to a company account.

Due to work requirements, I must join the Microsoft Teams team created by the other party's team.

I successfully verified and logged into my account through Authenticator before, but I accidentally deleted the account in Authenticator, so I can't log in now.

Current login status:

The login keeps asking me to enter the number that pops up in the mobile authenticator. Still, because I accidentally deleted the account in the authenticator, I can’t receive it, so I can’t log in now.

If I select [authenticator is currently unavailable], I will be asked to enter a verification code. However, because I accidentally deleted the account in authenticator, I cannot view it and there is no previous record, so I cannot log in now.

Currently, I can still see in teams that I am on the team, and there is team meeting information in the calendar, but I cannot log in、view the information on the team, or log out and then join again.

Have tried:

  1. After the team removed me, they added my account again, but the system would not prompt me to verify and login to the authenticator again, so I cannot log in now.
  2. It has been confirmed that there is no backup

Please support me so that I can log in to Teams and use the functions of Microsoft Teams normally, I'd appreciate any information you could give me

    Hi @Megan_Sh

According to the official documentation, after removing the account, you will not be able to use your device to verify sign-in.

You need a backup to restore your account on the authenticator.

According to your description, you do not have a backup. If you are unable to recover or restore your Authenticator's account credentials because you cannot access your backup account, our support agents cannot help, sorry.

As an alternative solution, please contact your organization's administrator to turn off two-step verification on your Entra ID so that you can log in directly with your password.
