Hello,

Is there a method for monitoring printers using System Center Operations Manager ? Specifically, is there built-in functionality or management packs available for monitoring and alerting on printer-related issues?

Any insights or recommendations on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of SCOM and UR are you using?

is available and can be used in SCOM 2019, SCOM 2016. With a few exceptions , you could probably use in SCOM 2022, but you should test it in a test environment before deploying to a Production environment.

Note: It is a noisy Mgmt Pack, so review the .docx or pdf that can be downloaded with the Mgmt Pack before installing to understand its functions as well as which Monitors, Discoveries and Rules are enabled/disable by default.

SCOM can monitor network devices using the SNMP. If your printers support SNMP, you can configure SCOM to monitor them by creating a network device discovery rule.
