For Christmas my grandma got me a new motherboard(Asus ROG strix B450-F gaming) and a 2tb hdd from segate. Whenever I tried to use it my gpu would not do anything. None of the fans were spinning, no lights, and no display outfit. I eventually concluded that the motherboard is d.o.a. with the pci-e slots are dead. So I swapped back to my old motherboard and in the end all that happened was that I got a new hdd. Whenever I got it all setup again windows said it needed to be repaired and I needed a windows 10 installation usb thing. I downloaded it on my laptop and got the usb, but whenever I plugged it in and started my pc it didn’t automatically boot to the usb. I chose to boot to it in the bios and I get an orange screen with white stripes. I tried removing my boot drive and downloading windows on the hdd but same thing. Other times I got it to say “The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum”. I tried to use it on my laptop and it goes along with installing windows just fine. Im not sure what to do from here, but any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

I'm not familiar with hardware but I think this link might help. Windows 8 shows orange screen with white stripes on boot

But I'm sure that you need to reactivate your operating system because changing motherboard is a big change. This is the reason why your Windows needs to be repaired.

So is the problem that you can't boot from USB bootable Win10 installation and start re-install process? Is that it? Check that in Bios the Secure Boot is disable and maybe consider using CSM compatibility mode, in bios.
