Using Sharepoint to generate an e-mail with a hyperlink to a Sharepoint folder

Our organization receives tasks from other entities. We are using Sharepoint to generate tasks to send out to personnel within our organization. These tasks are generated in Sharepoint and received by the employees in Outlook. We are trying to use hyperlinks in the tasks generated within Sharepoint that may have a need for them to collaborate on the same document ( a points of contact list as an example). The issue we are having is when we set up the hyperlink, it will give us an error that the folder cannot be found. We are testing this out within our shop and we all have full access to the folders and have even tried to add in another person outside of our shop granting them permissions within that folder, but keep getting the error no matter what we do in trying to manipulate the address to match the error. Any help on this is appreciated as this will save us a lot of consolidation time.

    Hi @Charles Trudell,

Thank you for posting in this community.

I have read your question in detail, but there are a few points in it that I would like to confirm:

1.May I ask what you are using to generate the task?

We are using SharePoint to generate tasks to send out to personnel within our organization.

2.I would like to know how you generate hyperlinks to SharePoint folders. If possible, can you share the example of the link with me. I would like to check the formatting of the links. Please be careful not to give out your domain name or other private information.

We are trying to use hyperlinks in the tasks generated within SharePoint that may have a need for them to collaborate on the same document ( a points of contact list as an example)

This information will better help me understand your question better.

Thank you for your efforts and time in advance.
