Have you deleted stored old user credentials in the Credential Manager via using Control Panel in Windows?

You may also try Disconnect your old Office 365 account on Windows Settings under "Access work or school" then access the desktop app to check this issue.

However, if the troubleshooting steps above doesn't help then create a new Windows user account and performing a clean install the latest Office desktop application program to see whether the problem still occurs.
