Issue with Excel Function Wizard Recognizing Custom Functions in Web Version

I just cloned the code from https://github.com/OfficeDev/Excel-Custom-Functions-Shared and was able to get it to basically work. But I noticed that the Excel function wizard in the web version of Excel does not recognize the functions in the add-in. However the Windows desktop version of Excel handles the add-in functions perfectly well.
Is this a known issue? Can others replicate it and confirm please.
