App deployments fail in Task Sequence when HTTPS is enabled

I recently built a new SCCM server. We use PXE to image our machines and part of the task sequences are to install our default applications.
When I have the Distribution Point set to use EHTTP everything works without issue. When I try to switch things over to self-signed HTTPS the application installs start failing. Everything else works fine, but the applications will hang for multiple hours. Some of the things I've tried so far are changing which apps and how many are installed, rebuilding the task sequences, and removing and reinstalling the distribution point from the server.

I'm happy to provide any logs, and I appreciate any help people can provide.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Can we successfully deploy the applications after OSD when HTTPS is enabled?

2,Please check the SMSTS.log and AppEnforce.log to see if there is any further information.

3,Similar thread for your reference. The workaround is: In IIS, on each DP, change the SSL settings of the SMS_DP_SMSPKG$ folder to IGNORE.

Package failing to download over HTTPs during task sequence. Error code 80072f0c

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
