@Fritz Hajek Thanks for your patience on this. I am summarizing our offline discussion and posting the same as Answer for the benefit of other community members.
Issue: Customer is unable to purchase the App service domain failing with error "The requested domain already exists in Azure database."
Solution :
- Upon investigating further, engineering team has purged the domain from backend.
- Customer has retried the purchase of App service domain operation , but failed due to lack of sufficient payment history on that particular subscription.
- From the backend logs, we can see that customer has purchased the same domain from a different subscription.
