Send logs of application running on AKS to Azure

Hello,
My backend code in python has some logs that by using "opencensus-ext-azure" package I send them over to Azure. I have an Application Insight resource linked to a Log Analytics Workspace resource. When using Azure Kubernetes Services the python backend logs are not appearing in the Application Insight resource. Could you please advise on how to fix this and where might be the issue? Would appreciate your response.

I would recommend enabling monitoring add-on (also known as Container Insights). You will need to provide a Log Analytics Workspace (or use the default one) and there the logs of your pods/containers part of the AKS cluster will be stored.
Then you can use and adapt the following query to get the logs per pod and namespace:
let startTimestamp = ago(1h); KubePodInventory | where TimeGenerated > startTimestamp | project ContainerID, PodName=Name, Namespace | where PodName contains "name" and Namespace startswith "namespace" | distinct ContainerID, PodName | join ( ContainerLog | where TimeGenerated > startTimestamp ) on ContainerID // at this point before the next pipe, columns from both tables are available to be "projected". Due to both // tables having a "Name" column, we assign an alias as PodName to one column which we actually want | project TimeGenerated, PodName, LogEntry, LogEntrySource | summarize by TimeGenerated, LogEntry | order by TimeGenerated descPlease find the below document for your reference:

Thank you for your response.
Please check that your Application Insights instrumentation key (or connection string) is correctly set in your application.
Ensure your logs are being formatted correctly. Application Insights can parse structured logs more effectively.
Use a telemetry processor to add custom properties to your logs, which can help in querying them later.
After deploying your application, go to the Application Insights resource in the Azure portal. Use the “Logs” section to query your logs. You can use Kusto Query Language (KQL) to search for your logs.
