The preview pane cannot preview Word/Excel/PPT files.

Inside the Explorer has opened the right preview pane, but Word/Excel/PPT files show no preview. And pdf, txt files can be previewed. I'm using Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021.Word/Excel/ppt files can be previewed before.

    Hi @Xiaobo Ban

    Have you done anything before this issue occurred, such as updating Office, installing third-party software, etc.?

    Is WPS installed on the computer at the same time? If so, please uninstall it.

    Then please go to "Registry Editor", check whether there are related previewer registry values:

    User's image

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PreviewHandlers

    Value Name: {00020827-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

    Type: REG_SZ

    Data: Microsoft Excel previewer

    Value Name: {84F66100-FF7C-4fb4-B0C0-02CD7FB668FE}

    Type: REG_SZ

    Data: Microsoft Word previewer

    Value Name: {65235197-874B-4A07-BDC5-E65EA825B718}

    Type: REG_SZ

    Data: Microsoft PowerPoint previewer

    Then go to following locations, ensure the "(Default)" Data of {8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f} registry key is correct for each Office file format.

    • Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xlsx\ShellEx\{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f} --- {00020827-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

    • Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.docx\ShellEx\{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f}--- {84F66100-FF7C-4fb4-B0C0-02CD7FB668FE}
