I'm planning to upgrade SCOM 2019 to 2022 version. I have question that does the version .NET 4.7.2 or later must installed on all the agents ? and it wont allow the upgrade if some the agents have lower .NET versions ?
Could someone please check and confirm ?

Yes. SCOM 2022 agent requires .NET 4.7.2 or later. Older versions must be upgraded.

We have application dependencies and it cannot be upgraded to latest version. May I know the impact if we have not upgrade agents to .NET 4.7.2 or later. how about the agent monitoring ? those agent which are in older version ?
For safer choice, we can keep those agents (w/o .NET 4.7.2) un-upgraded. SCOM server accepts mixed versions of agents.

So, the SCOM monitoring still be working for those agents without any issues and I can proceed with 2022 in-place upgrade ?

Hi Adam,
You're correct. We can proceed with the upgrade. For example, there are 100 windows agents (8 of them are not capable with .NET 4.7.2) and we can upgrade the 92 agents (keep the 8 agents unchanged, remaining version 2019). The mixed versions of agents are working.
