Auto-Reply to Calendar Invite

Question

My work email is through Outlook, but we calendar through Google Calendar. This was a choice made by the organization before I arrived and not in my power to change, I want to respect their preference.

People outside the organization keep sending me invites to my work email (a reasonable thing to do) but I need them to send invites to my Google Calendar. I want to set up an auto-response specifically to calendar invites that redirects people to invite my google address.

I tried setting this up through "Rules" after reading an old advice post on how to set up autoresponse to calendar invites (https://superuser.com/questions/1682263/auto-response-to-calendar-invite-in-outlook) but it appears that the Rules function no longer has an option to automatically respond with an email template.

Is there any way for me to create an automatic response to calendar invites so this mix up stops happening? Thank you!

Based on my test, i can create the rule as mentioned in the article you referred to in Outlook desktop client:

What's the version of your Outlook?

Are you using New Outlook for Windows? If so, i'm afraid that we cannot create the rule to reply to the calendar invitation with a template. As a workaround, we can create the below rule to redirect to the invitation to your Google Calendar.
