Trying to reestablish MS Entra Connect Sync

The original server with the MS Entra Connect Sync is no longer available to us. We are only trying to reestablish the Connect Sync to push all users over to the cloud. I seemed to have all the requirements lined up the last thing I did was to add and verify the custom domain and then the Wizard threw an error at me "The user name or password is incorrect" please contact Microsoft using the MSDN Forum site. So I was upto the Domain/OU Filtering the custom domain wasn't there so it was added pressed previous and then next to refresh the Domain/OU Filtering and that when the error occured. Whats next??

correct my understanding if wrong. It sounds like you’re trying to re-establish AD Sync with Azure Entra. During this phase in AD Sync, verifying the custom domain isn’t typically required. Could you let me know where you’re seeing this, and please share more details and a screenshot for this.
