This label "People and Copilot Agents" is to help you understand who is currently in the chat, including the Copilot agent. Even if you don't see activity from Copilot, this label will still appear so that you know Copilot can be called upon in the chat.
You don't need to worry about Copilot's impact. Copilot for Chat allows you to ask questions about chat conversations in Teams. It will not actively interrupt your chat unless it is explicitly called upon or needs to provide assistance. You can use Copilot for Chat to quickly view highlights, action items, and decisions in a chat without scrolling through long threads.
Users can access Chat Copilot by opening the chat's right side pane and clicking the Copilot button. There may be some differences due to updates.
Alternatively, users can also leverage smart actions by clicking on suggestions such as 'Summarize what I've missed' to open Copilot.
Users can use the suggested prompts or write their own questions. Examples of prompts include asking for highlights from a certain period of time (last 1, 7 or 30 days), which decisions were made or which topics are still open for discussion.
