Replaced iPhone now codes do not appear on my Authenticator App

Question

I replaced my iphone. The data and apps were transferred to the new phone by the service folks at carrier's store. Now the Authenticator app does not get the login codes on the new phone. I cannot figure out how to remove the old phone and add the new phone to my Microsoft account. The Authenticator app on my ipad still gets the codes.

What you need to do is backup your authenticator then load the backup on the new device
