SharePoint 2016 column validation

Question

I have a list in SharePoint server 2016 and there are several person and group columns. I want to make sure there are no duplicate users in these columns.

1. Go to List Settings:
   • Navigate to your SharePoint list.
   • Click on Settings (gear icon) > List Settings.
2. Modify Column Settings:
   • Under the Columns section, click on the person or group column you want to enforce uniqueness on.
   • Scroll down to the Column Settings section.
3. Enable Enforce Unique Values:
   • Check the box for Enforce unique values.
   • Click OK to save the changes.
