AVD showing sustained black screen on login

Azure Virtual Desktop is showing a black screen when users log into any of our 10 VMs. This screen appears instantly on logon, before Explorer loads; while the black screen is present, the user can move the mouse, but nothing else shows on-screen and the computer accepts no input. Roughly 50% of the time, the issue will resolve itself after a time--we have noticed this taking anywhere from 10 seconds to four full minutes--but often, it never resolves. We have noticed no differences in this issue between VMs; all experience the same problem. Logging back into any specific VM immediately after closing the connection does not seem to have any influence on the length of the next black screen when that same VM is next connected to. We are wondering if it is an issue with the host pool, or if there is any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

    Azure Virtual Desktop users might encounter sign-in issues that result in a black screen. There are multiple possible causes for black screens, but users can be impacted from issues synchronizing with AppReadiness, and multiple sessions signing in or out.
