Can I scale down my APIM pricing tier?

Will scaling down the pricing tier of APIM through azure portal have downtime? How long will the downtime be for?

Hello May,

Yes you can scale down.

However, please note that If you're scaling from or to the Developer tier, there will be downtime.

The duration of downtime when scaling to or from the Developer tier isn’t specified but from experience should be between 30mins to one hours.
