Issues with authenticator app wont allow me to sign in for my university account

Hi, I am having issues with my authenticator app. I try to login to my university email on my laptop or phone and it shows the code for the authenticator app but it does not pop up with the option to type the code in on the authenticator app and sign in. I do not know whether this is to do with me changing phones a couple of weeks ago.
