No able to create a workspace in Azure ML to practice

Question

I am going through the Azure AI training and need to create a workspace under machine learning. When it asks me to select a resource group there are no options. When I want to create a new resource group it says I don't have permissions under my subscription. What do I need to do? I am MS Employee

I think this should be an issue related to subscription permissions. I suggest the following points:

Selection of Resource Group-Whether one is unable to select a resource group or not can also be attributed to permission limitation associated with the subscription they are using. Subscription Type-Could you please verify if you are running Free Trial or Pay-As-You-Go subscriptions? If you are using the Free Trial, remember that creating resource groups in the AI/ML region is expressly not allowed. Upgrade Options-If you find out that you are indeed using the free trial, then the best course of action would be to upgrade to the pay-as-you-go subscription, which has the required permission to create resource groups and help you proceed with your training.
