I have implemented a GPO to enable BitLocker for fixed drives. However, the policy has no effect on the client's devices.

Is the GPO alone sufficient for enabling BitLocker on fixed drives?

    Hello SheikMohamedYasar-5990,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

No, the GPO alone is not sufficient to fully enable BitLocker on fixed drives. While the GPO can configure the necessary settings and policies, you still need to manually start the encryption process on each client device.

On each client device, manually start the BitLocker encryption process through the BitLocker management console or using a script.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
