Edit rules in outlook 2021

I moved from Office 2019 to 2021 and so far am quite unhappy.  For example, where is the Rules dialog kept.  I want to delete multiple rules.  In Office 2019, right click on a message and I can create a rule or edit any of the rules.  Not there in 2021.

Do a “bing” search and,….  Let’s omit the several "Microsoft" web pages that provide instructions to click a button or icon that does not exist on my computer.

So, where do I look to find the option to edit message rules in Outlook 2021?

    Hi @Bryan Kelly

    Welcome to our forum!

According to the screenshot you provided, it looks like the issue occurred in New Outlook client, right? If so, based on my research, you may edit the rules by going to right-click the message>select Rules and then manage or create rules. Also, you may edit rules by going to Setting (Icon)>Mail>Rules>...>Edit/Delete Rules.User's image

    Hope it helps.

While trying the above tips I happened to see the option

Help -> Go to classic Outlook

Viola, the tools needed are there. I certainly did not expect them (Microsoft Outlook engineers) to make such a horrible change.

And then when visiting the rules, noticed another inconsistency. When running Outlook for the first time, and establishing my email accounts, "it", meaning Outlook and Windows, discovered all my sub-folders for my various email accounts. That seemed to be good. But it populated everything with what seemed like all my messages. I visited email < forums at my_site dot net > and saw all the emails that were also in < business at my site dot net > All of them. That is also bad behavior.

Further, all the sub folders within Outlook were discovered, and created, in triplicate, but none of the rules made it from Outlook 2019 to Outlook 2021

I am not impressed with Outlook 2021.
