Azure Stream Analytics Job -> Azure Function App output failed connection when using automatic unique default hostname?

Question

Hi I believe when using the new feature that generates a hash for a secure unique default hostname will cause issues for the Stream Analytics Job to be able to connect to the Azure Function App as an output.

I have tested this by creating 2 functions apps, one with the unique default hostname and one without. It fails to connect to the one with the automatic unique hostname saying HTTPError No such host is known but is able to connect to the one with a name that i input.

Could anyone else please test to confirm or if Azure staff can take note of this issue if it is an issue?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and the time you took to test and report this issue.

This Azure function feature is currently in public preview and currently not supported in Azure Stream Analytics. We’re actively investigating it and have escalated this to our technical team, and we’ll keep updating the thread as we make progress.
