Can no longer see user phone numbers for 2-factor authentication, what is the new process for an admin to update phone numbers for users

Up until late Nov, I could login as an Admin/Global Administrator to my Azure tenant where our B2C lives, go to Entra > Users and see the phone numbers associated with each user's 2MFA setup. The setting was under: Home > Tennant | Users > Users > [Name] > Authentication Methods. As an administrator, I could see phone numbers to help user login issues and update as necessary. The old screen looked like this:

User's image

Now when I log in, it has a new interface and says "No usable methods" even for users I know have 2MFA setup. To confirm, I just re-registered a user to sign into my application, registration and login were successful, but that user's phone number is not visible. Below is a screenshot, I would expect to see an entry of Phone number under "Authentication method".

User's image

On our other "Department" which is reserved for internal Company authentication and not associated with the B2C, I am able to see all 2MFA methods for each user (including SMS ("Phone Number"), Microsoft Authenticator, SMS, Windows Hello etc). Below is an example.

I have confirmed that the roles for my user are consistent across both "departments".

We are using "User flows" via the B2C to register users for our app. Users are registered as "Members" in Microsoft Entra ID. Nothing has changed there and per above, it is still working for new users registering for the app.

Has visibility of 2MFA phone numbers moved somewhere else?

Hi @Shannon B , sorry for the delay in getting you an answer. This is currently being reported as a bug and we have a patch has been released. However, some users like yourself are still experiencing the issue.

The current proposed workaround is to go into Azure Portal and click "Enable" under the Authentication methods menu manually for each user. But as you mentioned you have thousands of users, so this is impossible.

I'm sorry that this isn't the answer you're looking for, but we're actively working on a fix. I'll share updates with you as I receive them. Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
