I realize this is a common question, but I've tried several of the existing solutions and none of them have helped.

My new work PC is Windows 11 23H2, and I'm using SQL Server Management Studio v 20.2.30.0. I'm trying to import an Excel workbook using "Tasks -> Import Data", something I've done on my old PC many, many times. However, I now keep getting the error: "The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine."

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all! Something odd is going on with this web site, so I can't read replies, but just in case this goes through...

This video solved my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byYkPzdESeI

Apparently you have to install the 32 bit version from the command prompt using the /QUIET switch.

Seems ludicrously convoluted, but there it is, and solved my issue. Hope this helps someone else!
