Update Summary Task %Completion based on Sub Tasks

Hi,

I have a Sharepoint tasklist (sync-ed from MS Project), and whenever I modify a completion percentage to a task, the summary task percentage is not refreshing.

When I open the project file, it imports the new task % and refreshes the summary task, sync, and it's on sharepoint.

Is there a way to avoid opening the project file for sync and refresh the sharepoint tasklist somehow?

Short example:

Any idea is appreciated! Many thanks!

    Hi @Szilágyi Miklós ,

To update the summary task percentage based on sub-tasks in a SharePoint task list synced from MS Project, you typically need to open the project file in Project Professional. This is because the synchronization process involves refreshing the data from the project file to SharePoint, which includes recalculating the summary task percentages.

Unfortunately, there is no direct method to refresh the SharePoint task list without opening the project file. The synchronization process is designed to ensure that the project file and SharePoint task list remain linked, and this linkage requires the project file to be opened for updates.
