Cannot Find Sales & Marketing app on Power BI apps

I am on Unit 5 of 7 for the Course "Getting Started with Power BI". In this module it tells me to download "Sales & Marketing" app from Power BI apps -> Get apps. but there is nothing available on the Power Bi app store. Need help on how to navigate from here please.

Hi Vinay Sabhnani,

Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A forum.

After selecting "Get Apps," you can search by entering "Sales and Marketing." You will then find the app and the PBIX file. To install the app, select it. If you want to open the PBIX file "Sales and Marketing," select the PBIX file.

We tried from our end; it's working fine for us. Kindly refer the below screenshots.

I recommend reaching out to your IT or admin team to verify if there are any access limitations due to location-based restrictions within your organization's network.

Alternatively, if accessing this specific sample remains a challenge, you can try downloading other sample PBIX files from Microsoft’s https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/sample-sales-and-marketing?source=recommendations page. This site offers a variety of sample files that can be directly imported into Power BI Desktop, often bypassing regional limitations in the Power BI Service.

Hi @Syed Saleem Peera I think its the organisation's IT limitation that is restricting me to download the following app from the Power BI app store. I am facing same issue as Christopher George. same screen shots applies to me as well. Thanks

It seems the issue you're facing with downloading the "Sales & Marketing" app might be due to IT restrictions in your organization.

You can try the following:

Contact IT/Admin to check if there are any access limitations.

Download the PBIX file directly from Microsoft’s page and open it in Power BI Desktop.
