We have a big event coming up. Is it possible to require attendees to sign in? Would this allow us to collect information about participants, including their times of joining and leaving, to analyze the impact of the event? We expect around two hundred people to attend, and the meeting link will be distributed to all employees in the company. Detailed information is necessary to ensure proper tracking of meeting participants, especially since the chairman will also be present. We need to be strict about the details of the meeting. Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Cranbin

Microsoft Teams allows meeting organizers to require attendees to log in to join the meeting.

You can set the "Who can bypass the lobby" option to "Only logged-in users" or "Users in the organization" when scheduling a meeting, so that users who are not logged in will not be able to join the meeting directly. Or administrators can configure the meeting policy in the Teams admin center and set "Anonymous users can join a meeting" to off to ensure that anonymous participation is not allowed in the meeting. Changes may take up to 24 hours to take effect.

The attendance and engagement report for Teams meetings and events provides detailed information about organizers and attendees. The report shows who attended a meeting, along with the exact times each attendee joined and left, and other engagement metrics.

For more details, please refer to Manage the attendance and engagement report for meetings and events in Microsoft Teams.

During the meeting or event, organizers can find the attendance report in the People > Participants pane of the meeting. After the meeting or event ends, organizers can view and download the attendance and engagement report under the Attendance tab of the invite. To learn more about how meeting and event organizers can view and download the attendance and engagement report, see Manage meeting attendance reports in Microsoft Teams.

Organizers with Teams Premium can view and download meeting engagement data such as total reactions, raised hands, cameras turned on, and more in the Attendance tab after a scheduled meeting or webinar.

Engagement information available in the Attendance tab of a meeting.

Limitations: In meetings with more than 120 participants, the attendance report available during the meeting will only include some attendees. The post-meeting report will contain all attendees.
