Teams Chat and Channel messages Retention Policy Client error

Getting error while creating Teams chat and channel messages retention policy. I have tested a year back and it was working as is but not now and getting error. Any help would be appriciated. User's image

Have you tried to reset the retention policy via PowerShell command?

Connect to Security & Compliance PowerShell.

Retry policy sync and distribution. Use the Set-RetentionCompliancePolicy cmdlet together with the RetryDistribution switch to redeploy the policy: Set-RetentionCompliancePolicy -Identity "<policy name>" -RetryDistribution
