Project/Planner for Web-Duration calculation

I am currently using the Planner for Web(seems to be a replacement for Project).
The problem is with the duration calculation:
When i select two dates, clearly the duration is wrong.
and if i do it the other way, select a Finish date, and duration, it should calculate the start date automatically, which is doesn't. Also when i add dependencies to tasks, also seems to not calculating correctly. I suppose it should be a basic feature for project?
