This got Question got optimized my Copilot

I'm facing a challenging situation regarding calendar integration and hope to find a solution.

PC Details: Lenovo Laptop, Windows 11

I have a Microsoft account associated with a custom domain email that works perfectly in Outlook. My primary calendar is the Apple Calendar (created with the same email). To sync this calendar with Outlook, I installed iCloud Sync on my PC, and it functions correctly.

However, my issue arises with Microsoft Teams. It appears that Teams utilizes a different calendar system. When creating or accepting meetings in the Teams desktop application, the appointments are saved to my local calendar, which is only visible in Outlook.

On the Teams Web app, appointments are saved to a hidden Microsoft Calendar associated with an email address (xxxxx123123123@outlook.com). This calendar is accessible on my iPhone through the Teams app but does not appear in Outlook.

My questions are:

  1. Is it possible for Teams (both the PC client and iPhone app) to directly access the iCloud Calendar?
  2. If not, how can I access the @outlook.com calendar on my iPhone or Outlook? Particularly, syncing it with Outlook seems to be a challenge.

Additionally, why is my Microsoft calendar not automatically appearing in Outlook in the first place?

    Hi @Flx Sch

As far as I know, Microsoft Teams cannot directly access iCloud calendars at this time. To view iCloud calendars in Teams, you need to sync them through Outlook.

    Sync Outlook calendar on iPhone

Go to iPhone Settings > Calendar > Outlook > Sign in to your Outlook Exchange account and slide Calendar from Off to On. If your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi, you will automatically sync Outlook calendars with your iPhone, and this process may take some time.

Sync Outlook calendar with iPhone via iCloud

iCloud is an alternative way to sync Outlook calendars to iPhone. iCloud cannot send Outlook calendars directly to iPhone. It must first upload Outlook calendars to iCloud and then push Outlook calendars from iCloud to iPhone.

Download the iCloud app to your computer or mobile device and sign in to your iCloud account. Click Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks to allow Outlook to be set up for iCloud (you need to turn off Outlook to sync calendars to iCloud).

Sync Outlook calendar with iPhone in iTunes

Calendar syncing between Outlook and Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. Please refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/synchronize-outlook-and-apple-iphone-or-ipod-touch-calendars-be7a12eb-fe76-4346-ae13-b54249db7f9c for specific steps.

If you still have problems with syncing after doing this, you may need to log in again to update your calendar. Or if you encounter other sync issues, please check if they are mentioned in this article.

    Thanks for you answer!

I think i wasn't clear, what my actual problem is:

Teams accesses the Microsoft calendar (with the auto generated email @outlook.com), that Outlook doesn't access. My Outlook only has the local calendar and the iCloud calendar. I need the Outlook calander there too.

The calendar is besides Teams only in the web Outlook visible.

Adding the MS Account connection to the iPhone should solve the problem of accessing this calender on mobile.
