Despite having the Global Administrator role, I can't create a virtual machine. The error message indicates that the subscription was not found.

I verified my subscription in the Azure portal and confirmed it is active.

I set the subscription context using the PowerShell command.

Azure Virtual Machines
Azure Virtual Machines
An Azure service that is used to provision Windows and Linux virtual machines.

    Hi @Joyce Mulbah ,

the Global Administrator is related to Microsoft Entra Id (Microsoft Entra roles).

This allows you to manage Entra Id only.

For managing objects in Azure Subscriptions you need to be Owner or Contributor on subscription level in Azure as well: Azure roles

Please verify your user is member in a related Azure RBAC role to create a VM in your subscription.
