Hello,

  • User is running Outlook 2016.- She receives an email that has been forwarded to her. The messages is missing pictures that she should be able to see. Instead, they are displayed as "X" like broken links.
  • I open the same email via Outlook Web Access. Here I get a prompt:
"To help protect your privacy, some content in this message has been blocked. If you're sure this message is from a trusted sender and you want to re-enable the blocked features, click here.
  • When I select "click here" the required pictures are visible.
  • I cannot see any similar option in the Outlook client. I have tried setting the sender as a Safe Sender, but this does not address the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rudy

    Hi @Rudolf Amarlapudi

    Welcome to our forum!

What is your account? Outlook.com or something else?

Does the issue occur recently on Outlook Desktop Client? Do you have any specific operation before the issue occurred?

What is the version of your Outlook? It is recommended that you please check the Outlook client version (File>Office Account>Product Information) and try to upgrade to the latest version to see if the problem is resolved.

In addition, here are some steps you may take:

    1. Check Email Security Settings:
      • Go to File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>E-mail Security.
      • Ensure that "Read all standard mail in plain text" is unchecked.
    2. Adjust Trust Center Settings:
      • Go to File>Options>Trust Center, Trust Center Settings.
      • Under Automatic Download, uncheck the box that says, "Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items".

    Hope it helps!
